Move beyond the basics with this 6wk. Intermediate sewing course. Designed for students who are comfortable with the machine and are ready to refine their skills!
This two-project course teaches advanced seam finishes, closures, and basic pattern adjustments for fit and design through the creation of essential wardrobe items; a zippered travel pouch and a classic chore coat.
Starting with the travel pouch, you will learn zipper installation, seam binding and turning.
Moving on to the chore coat, you will review fabric selection, learn basic pattern adjustments, advanced seam finishes, and machine-made buttonholes to create a boutique worthy garment that looks great inside and out.
Finish the course with two new wardrobe staples and the skills to create more!

*students will be required to obtain fabric and notions for their chore coat by the third class. (Est. cost $25-85)
Donated fabric and notions can be made available to students free of charge as needed.
Best for:
Students with basic machine knowledge (can thread machine and sew straight lines) and having made at least one pull-on garment.
